About the Role:

The role involves managing overall tax compliance, tax planning, and governance across Direct and Indirect taxes. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Indian tax laws, experience in handling tax audits and assessments, and the ability to drive process improvements while ensuring end-to-end compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee

  Direct and Indirect Tax compliances

  , including review of tax computations, filings, and documentation.
• Ensure

  timely filing of returns and tax payments

  as per statutory requirements.
• Drive

  tax planning and optimization strategies

  to minimize liabilities and improve efficiency.
• Manage

  tax assessments, audits

  , and represent the organization before tax authorities.
• Advise business and finance teams on

  tax implications of transactions and business decisions

  .
• Stay updated on

  amendments, notifications, and judicial pronouncements

  impacting taxation.
• Lead

  process improvements

  and strengthen governance frameworks for taxation.
• Prepare and present

  Tax MIS and analysis reports

  for management.
• Mentor and guide junior members of the tax team.
  

Candidate Profile:

• CA qualified

  with at least

  4 years of post-qualification experience

  in Direct Taxation.
• Strong understanding of

  Income Tax Act, TDS, TCS, and related rules

  .
• Prior experience in

  banking or financial services

  preferred.
• Proficient in

  MS Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office tools

  .
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
