Senior Manager – Civil

We are seeking a highly experienced and result-oriented Senior Manager – Civil to lead and manage civil construction activities for power plants, coal handling plants, and other industrial infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will bring extensive field experience, technical expertise, and leadership capabilities to ensure timely, cost-effective, and quality execution of large-scale civil and structural works.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning & Execution

• Lead end-to-end civil construction activities for power plant and coal handling infrastructure.
• Review project drawings, technical specifications, and tender documents for constructability.
• Develop work breakdown structures, execution strategies, and construction schedules.

2. Site & Construction Management

• Monitor civil and structural works such as foundations (machine & structural), RCC structures, equipment foundations, retaining walls, drainage systems, roads, and other utilities.
• Ensure timely mobilization of resources and uninterrupted progress at site.
• Conduct regular site inspections to verify work quality and adherence to design.

3. Contractor & Vendor Coordination

• Evaluate and finalize civil contractors and subcontractors in coordination with procurement.
• Manage contractor performance, resolve bottlenecks, and ensure adherence to contract terms.
• Certify contractor measurements, progress, and billing.

4. Quality Assurance & Compliance

• Enforce QA/QC protocols in line with project specifications, IS codes, and client requirements.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety standards (HSE) and statutory compliance at site.
• Support in internal and external audits, quality reviews, and approvals.

5. Stakeholder Management

• Liaise with clients, consultants, design teams, and internal departments (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation) for seamless project integration.
• Participate in project review meetings and provide status updates to senior management.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• In-depth knowledge of industrial civil works for power plants, ash handling, coal handling systems, switchyards, and structural steel work.
• Strong understanding of project management tools and construction methodologies.
• Excellent leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in MS Project/Primavera, AutoCAD, and relevant civil engineering software.
• Sound understanding of IS codes, BIS, environmental and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

• B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering from a recognized university. (Master’s degree is a plus)
• Certifications in project management are advantageous.

Preferred Background:

• Experience in EPC or turnkey projects in power, energy, or heavy industrial sectors.
• Hands-on exposure to coal handling plants, material handling systems, chimney, cooling towers, and turbine foundations.
• Familiarity with government or PSU projects is an added advantage.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
