Job Description

As an Accounting Operations Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing the accounting operations of the company. Your responsibilities will include: - Managing technical accounting and ensuring compliance with regulations - Overseeing the implementation of new accounting standards and updating internal financial reporting policies - Handling consolidations and financial reporting, including chart of accounts and mapping to consolidation systems - Supporting accounting for newly acquired companies and ensuring proper incorporation into the consolidation tool - Overseeing the valuation and accounting arising from business combinations - Resolving non-standard complex accounting issues and providing solutions - Assessing the implications of new accounting standards and providing guidance to management You will also be responsible for: - Managing the monthly closing process and associated financial reporting - Preparation of a monthly management reporting calendar and ensuring compliance with corporate deadlines - Analyzing and reconciling general ledger accounts to ensure proper classification - Managing the consolidation process and reviewing variance analysis of consolidated balance sheet and cash flow statements - Ensuring monthly reconciliations are performed and uploaded on the portal In addition, you will be involved in: - Monitoring compliance with statutory reporting and tax filings - Ensuring preparation of local accounts as per prescribed accounting standards - Coordinating the financial reporting component of external audits - Operating within an internal control environment to ensure adequacy of internal controls over financial reporting Your role will also require: - Managing the monthly financial reporting closing process for entities in various countries - Overseeing the preparation of monthly consolidated financial statements for the holding company - Directing the preparation of subsidiary financial statements and legal entity financial statement analysis To excel in this position, you should possess: - Exceptional interpersonal, written, oral, and presentation skills - Ability to work independently and make non-routine decisions - Resourcefulness, action-orientation, and ability to overcome obstacles - Strong leadership skills and the ability to lead high-performing teams - Proficiency in financial systems and ERP experience - In-depth knowledge of accounting industry standards and best practices The ideal candidate will have 10-15 years of finance/accounting experience, a university degree in Finance/Accounting, and additional professional certifications such as CA/CMA/CPA/MBA. Experience in the IT industry is preferred.,
