Role:

As a Maintenance Engineer, Primary responsibility is to ensure the efficient and reliable operation of equipment, machinery, and systems within a designated facility. You will play a crucial role in performing preventive and corrective maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and maximize productivity. Your technical expertise and problem-solving skills will contribute to maintaining a safe and optimized working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Equipment Maintenance:

   Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of machinery (Spot Welding, Laser Welding, Cell Sorting, CCD, IP, etc.), equipment, and systems, including but not limited to HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and production equipment. Follow established maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure proper functioning and longevity of assets. Good exposure to Spare parts management.

2. Troubleshooting:

   Identify and diagnose equipment malfunctions and breakdowns using various tools and techniques. Analyze problems and develop effective solutions to minimize production interruptions and maintain smooth operations.

3. Preventive Maintenance:

   Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans to proactively address potential issues. Conduct regular inspections, lubrication, calibration, and adjustments to prevent equipment failures and optimize performance. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, service reports, and equipment histories.

4. Repair and Replacement:

   Carry out necessary repairs, replacements, and installations of faulty components, parts, or systems. Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to procure required materials and ensure timely completion of repairs. Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards during repair work.

5. Equipment Upgrades and Modifications:

   Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for equipment upgrades, modifications, or retrofits to improve efficiency, productivity, and safety. Participate in the design, installation, and commissioning of new equipment or systems.

6. Compliance and Documentation:

   Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and safety guidelines relevant to maintenance activities. Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance procedures, equipment manuals, and safety protocols. Conduct regular audits to verify compliance and recommend corrective actions if necessary.

7. Training and Support:

   Provide technical guidance and training to maintenance staff or operators on equipment operation, troubleshooting techniques, and maintenance best practices. Support other teams as needed, including assisting with production line setups, changeovers, or equipment relocations.

8. Continuous Improvement:

   Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and efficiency improvements within the maintenance function. Propose and implement innovative solutions, such as implementing predictive maintenance strategies or adopting new technologies, to enhance overall equipment effectiveness.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Diploma & Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, .), or equivalent work experience.
• Previous experience in maintenance engineering or a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting & good exposure to Laser welding.
• Strong technical knowledge of machinery, equipment, and systems, including electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Familiarity with maintenance management systems (CMMS) and computerized maintenance management software.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and ability to adhere to safety protocols.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
