Senior Jewellery Designer

You will work closely with the founder and assist across all areas involved in bringing a product to life at Mookuthi. Your role will be full-time and immersive, encompassing the entire design journey from consumer interactions and material sourcing to production and product development. This role will require you to engage in various activities such as speaking to clients on the floor, collaborating with artisans at the bench, refining ideas, developing textures, evaluating proportions, and observing the design's journey post-studio. At Mookuthi, selling is integrated with design as a means to understand the essence of what truly matters in the creation process. Your responsibilities will include: - Selling: Learning the art of selling to understand how it influences design choices. - Observing: Studying patterns, craft, culture, stories, materials, color, texture, artisan capabilities, tools, techniques, consumer behavior, vendor offerings, and more. - Managing: Collaborating with artisans, suppliers, CAD designers, and various stakeholders involved in the design process. - Designing: Embarking on the core aspect of the role, which begins after immersing in the layers that shape a product. - Prototyping: Working with artisans to bring new pieces to life and enhance existing collections. - Miscellaneous: Being part of diverse activities such as shoots, shows, events, etc., as Mookuthi is a startup with dynamic opportunities.
