Senior Jewellery Designer

Job Title:

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the conceptualisation and development of new jewellery collections as per brand direction and market trends.
• Conduct trend research (Domestic & International) and translate insights into innovative design concepts.
• Create detailed CAD/hand sketches with technical specifications for production.
• Coordinate with R&D, CAD, CAM, and Model-making teams for sampling and prototype approvals.
• Ensure accuracy in design feasibility, weight optimisation, and production efficiency.
• Prepare design boards, mood boards, and theme presentations for internal approvals and client pitching.
• Interact with B2B/B2C clients (if required) for design customisation and requirement understanding.
• Monitor design performance and contribute to best-seller development strategy.
• Mentor junior designers and maintain design library & digital archives.
• Ensure alignment with brand aesthetics, commercial viability, and quality standards.

Key Skills & Requirements:

• Experience:

  7+ years in jewellery designing (Gold / Diamond / Silver / Machine Chains / Casting / Handcrafted as applicable).
• Strong expertise in

  CAD (Rhino/Matrix/JewelCAD/CorelDRAW)

  or

  Hand Sketching

  , depending on specialisation.
• Excellent understanding of

  manufacturing techniques, metal behaviour, and gemstone settings

  .
• Creative mindset with

  commercial awareness and trend forecasting ability

  .
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work in

  fast-paced, high-volume development environments.

Educational Qualification:

• Diploma / Degree in Jewellery Design / Fine Arts / Fashion Design from a reputed institute (NID, GIA, JD Institute, etc.)
• Salary between 15 to 20 lacs P.A. CTC
