Key Responsibilities

Design and develop secure, scalable Java microservices for payment platformsIntegrate cryptographic operations within payment flows and tokenization systemsWork with EMV kernels, APDU command sets, and card issuance workflowsDeploy, manage, and monitor services on Azure/AWS using KubernetesEnsure adherence to secure coding practices and compliance standards (e.g., PCI-DSS)Collaborate with architects, QA, and DevOps teams on design and implementationConduct code reviews, enforce design patterns, and mentor junior developers

TECH STACK YOU’LL WORK WITH

Core Development: Java, Spring Boot, Maven, RESTful APIsSecurity & Cryptography: Symmetric/Asymmetric encryption, secure coding practices

Cloud Platforms

Azure: VMs, Functions, AKS, RBACAWS: EC2, S3, IAM, LambdaDevOps & Containers: Docker, Kubernetes (AKS/EKS)Architecture & Design: Object-Oriented Design, Design Patterns

Domain Knowledge Required

Deep understanding of card tokenization, EMV standards, and APDU formatsExperience with payment authorization flows across methods (credit, debit, wallets, NFC)Familiarity with ISO 20022 and other financial messaging standards

IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE

5–8 years of backend development experience with strong Java & Spring Boot expertiseProven experience with cryptographic libraries and secure API integrationsHands-on with cloud-native deployment, Docker, and KubernetesStrong knowledge of payment system regulations and standards (PCI-DSS, EMV, ISO 20022)Bonus: Experience with HSM integration, token vault platforms, or secure element tech
