Senior Inventory Executive

Role & responsibilities

1. Inventory Planning & Control

• Monitor and maintain optimal stock levels across all outlets/salons.
  
• Develop and implement inventory control processes to reduce wastage and pilferage.
  
• Ensure timely replenishment based on consumption trends and service requirements.
  
• Review and approve daily stock requests from salons.
  

2. Stock Audits & Reporting

• Conduct weekly, monthly, and quarterly physical stock audits.
  
• Investigate stock discrepancies and take corrective actions.
  
• Prepare detailed inventory reportsstock variance, ageing, damage, and consumption.
  
• Present MIS reports to Operations and Finance teams as required.
  

3. Vendor & Procurement Coordination

• Forecast product requirements and share purchase requisitions with Procurement.
  
• Track purchase orders, deliveries, supplier performance, and pricing.
  
• Liaise with vendors for out-of-stock products, replacements, and quality issues.
  
• Negotiate better rates or bulk deals where applicable.
  

4. Salon-Level Inventory Operations

• Oversee inventory movements for salonsretail, consumables, tools, and colour stocks.
  
• Review daily usage reports submitted by Salon Managers or Inventory Assistants.
  
• Monitor consumption patterns per stylist and per service to ensure optimal usage.
  
• Ensure proper storage, FIFO, and expiry management at each outlet.
  

5. Software & Documentation Management

• Manage and update stocks in salon software (Zenoti or equivalent).
  
• Maintain accurate inwardoutward documentation including GRNs, batch numbers, and expiry details.
  
• Ensure system entries match physical stock and highlight mismatches.
  

6. Team Supervision & Training

• Guide and supervise Inventory Executives/Assistants across branches.
  
• Train salon staff on inventory SOPs, proper handling, and usage.
  
• Evaluate performance and set clear KRAs for junior team members.
  

7. Compliance & SOP Adherence

• Ensure compliance with company inventory policies.
  
• Implement controls to minimise shrinkage, damage, and misuse.
  
• Support external audits and ensure documentation accuracy.
  

Preferred candidate profile:

• Strong analytical and numerical skills
  
• Advanced MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, dashboards preferred)
  
• Working knowledge of Zenoti or similar POS/inventory systems
  
• Leadership and team management skills
  
• Excellent communication and vendor negotiation abilities
  
• Strong understanding of salon consumables, colour stocks, retail products & tools
  
• Problem-solving and decision-making skills
