Senior Interior Designer

As an Senior Interior Designer at Val-Ed Initiatives, you will have a unique opportunity to design and create innovative learning environments that align with values, life skills, social-emotional learning education & mental health education. You will be responsible for conceptualizing & creating values-based labs & infrastructures for schools and other educational institutes. You will work closely to understand needs, preferences, constraints and then develop a plan to create a space & structures that meets client needs. You will collaborate with school owners, principals, educators and other stakeholders to ensure construction of these spaces. You will collaborate with educators so that our spaces promote positive learning experiences and personal development. Key Responsibilities: Manage Team: Manage Team of Junior Designers to achieve Project Achievements and ensure cordial working culture Space Planning: Develop space plans and layouts that optimize the use of space for values education purposes. Interior Design: Create impact-creating, aesthetically pleasing and easy-to-operate & maintain functional labs & infrastructure elements in school environments that align with client values. Material Selection: Choose appropriate materials, furnishings, and decor that enhance each space's overall ambience and purpose in consideration of the client's budget. Collaboration: Work closely with educators and content creators to ensure the design supports the educational objectives and our values. Project Management: Oversee the implementation of the projects, ensuring they meet quality and timeline standards. Client Interaction: Regular meetings with clients/ vendors and writing Minutes of Meetings (online/offline). Site visits: Regular or occasional site visits when required (local as well around India). Specific responsibilities will include: Brainstorming ideas and creating sketches Creating concept sketches and 3D views Working on AutoCAD drawings Exploring new materials and design details Creating clients presentations Regular meetings with clients/vendors and writing Minutes of Meetings (online/offline) Supporting other design-related functions Managing various project designs and Execution timeline Streamlining the processes and methods used
