Position Overview

Senior Interior Designer

Key Responsibilities

• Lead interior design projects from concept development through to final execution.
• Develop detailed project briefs, budgets, timelines, and design strategies.
• Interpret client requirements into innovative design solutions that reflect their vision.
• Prepare mood boards, sample boards, concept presentations, and detailed drawings.
• Select materials, finishes, furnishings, lighting, and accessories.
• Coordinate and communicate with architects, contractors, consultants, and other project stakeholders.
• Oversee site execution to ensure design intent and quality standards are maintained.
• Stay updated with current trends, materials, technologies, and best practices in interior design.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high design standards and meeting deadlines.
• Provide mentorship and leadership to junior designers and project teams.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional experience in interior design, including residential, commercial, and hospitality projects.
• Bachelor's or Masters degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
• Strong portfolio showcasing a range of completed interior projects.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, Illustrator, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• In-depth knowledge of spatial planning, color theory, lighting design, custom furniture, and finishes.
• Excellent project management, communication, and presentation skills.
• Strong attention to detail, creativity, and the ability to translate ideas into functional design.
• Experience in coordinating with construction teams and vendors.
• Ability to manage a design team and delegate responsibilities effectively.

Preferred Skills

• Ability to lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Prior experience in mentoring or managing a design team.
• Strong understanding of structural and architectural Systems.
