Job Description

Role Overview: As a Senior Information Security Engineer at Mastercard, you will be part of the Business Security Engineering Guild, contributing to and maintaining reusable security requirements for software engineering teams. Your role will involve developing, delivering, and maintaining these security requirements, creating documentation and procedures, collaborating with cross-functional teams, consulting on secure application design, and performing security reviews and threat modeling for Mastercard applications. Key Responsibilities: - Develop, deliver, and maintain reusable security requirements for software engineering teams. - Create and maintain documentation, procedures, and analytics related to security requirements. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to explain security requirements and gather feedback for process improvement. - Consult with development and operational teams to ensure secure application and service design following industry best practices. - Demonstrate a strong understanding of information security principles and perform security reviews and threat modeling for Mastercard applications. Qualifications Required: - Knowledge of information security, risk management, and data privacy within digital commerce. - Understanding of identity management, user authentication, and authorization principles. - Experience with implementing S-SLDC at scale and awareness of security engineering concepts across software development lifecycle phases. - Design experience with secure multi-domain Internet-facing applications and providing security architecture advice for web-based network environments. - Familiarity with mobile security architecture concepts, design, and implementation, including Android and iOS. - Basic knowledge and experience in cryptography, including encryption, hashing, key management, digital certificates, and TLS. - Technical experience with Java or similar enterprise programming language, especially related to secure coding best practices. - Working knowledge and technical security experience with Linux.
