We are looking to hire a Senior Tax Associate in our Kolkata office to provide Corporate Statutory Accounts & Tax Returns assignments and accountancy services, to a range of clients including UK Companies and individuals. You will provide & manage delivery and supervision of each assignment in an efficient and effective manner, and to help ensure that clients receive a quality service in all respects.

Responsibilities

Managing & Executing the tasks in the following areas -

• Submitting tax returns for United Kingdom resident individual clients including landlords, self employed, foreign tax payers etc. including guiding them with tax planning.
• Submitting tax returns for United Kingdom non resident individual clients including landlords, self employed etc.
• Preparing & submitting Corporate tax returns (CT600) for United Kingdom corporate clients to HMRC
• Preparing & submitting Statutory Annual Accounts to Companies House UK
• Preparing Capital Gains tax return
• Preparing VAT Returns for company clients
• Processing payroll for company clients including monthly PAYE submissions to HMRC
• Ensuring the clients’ tax affairs comply with statutory requirements and managing compliance work efficiently.
• Handling client's tax & financial reporting queries
• Managing client onboarding, invoicing & collection of fee through digital payment system
• Preparing weekly / monthly MIS Reports for company directors.
• Managing relevant software
• Managing & briefing junior staff on clients and pre-assignment instructions, as well as supervising and controlling the completion of work.
• Carrying out any other duties as are within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job, the title of the role and its grading, as requested by the line manager or the Directors.

Knowledge / Experience / Skills :

Mandatory

• CA Intermediate qualified / CWA Intermediate qualified / ACCA part qualified.
• Tax experience from a practice background for a minimum period of 4 years is mandatory
• Good Experience of Self Assessment Tax Returns & Statutory Accounts
• Good Experience of Corporate Tax Returns preparation
• Proficient and efficient use of Microsoft Office packages with good knowledge of MS Excel
• Strong English communication skills
• Ability to navigate various accounting and bookkeeping packages such as CCH, Xero, Money Soft Payroll, Sage Payroll or similar

Advantage

• UK Double Taxation experience will enhance an application
• Proven experience in client onboarding & handling

• Salary ranging from Rs. 5.50 to Rs. 6.50 lakhs depending on experience
