Senior Hardware Developer

Job Objective:

Role & responsibilities

• Responsible for electronics in interdisciplinary project teams (Mechanics, Firmware, Sales, Production)
• Independent development of circuit design and creation of related documentation
• Ensuring requirement-compliant circuit design and conducting error analyses using SPICE simulation
• Creating prototypes or working with electronic manufacturing to do so
• Conducting functional tests, EMC tests, stress tests, climate tests
• Defining test criteria and test circuits for series production
• Responsible for electronics in products until series maturity
• Providing technical consulting to Production, Sales, Purchasing, Quality Assurance, and After-Sales throughout the entire product life cycle
• Specifying hardware requirements
• Testing and adapting new technologies (Power, Ex, Sensor Technology
• Verifying design and error analysis
• Consulting with pre-development on electronics-related matters
• Investigating new sensor concepts
• Supporting fault diagnosis in production
• Leading partial projects for new components' electronics development
• Thermal management on PCB level (with a focus on Ex)

terfaces (External / Internal):

• Internal: Development departments, Production, Sales, Purchasing, Quality Assurance, After-Sales, subsidiaries
• External: Service providers, manufacturers, suppliers, external certification bodies

Preferred candidate profile

• Education: Master's degree in Electrical Engineering / Mechatronics
• Experience: Several years of experience as an electronics development engineer in relevant areas (sensor technology, actuator technology, micro-power electronics, bus systems)
