The Role

As a Senior Golang Engineer, you'll join a small team of 6 talented peers, reporting to our Head of Engineering (a Go expert who empowers rather than micromanages). This is an 80% hands-on coding role where you'll architect and implement scalable microservices. The rest of your time? Collaborating on designs that prioritise team velocity and sustainable abstractions. We're in-office 5 days a week in Koramangala to foster the kind of spontaneous, trusting interactions that build innovation non-negotiable for our culture.

What You'll Do

- Develop microservices using the Gin framework for video processing, real-time analytics, and social media integrations.

- Design gRPC services for efficient inter-service communication.

- Write concurrent Go code with goroutines and channels to handle millions of social media posts.

- Architect asynchronous workflows using AWS SQS for reliable scaling.

- Optimize PostgreSQL queries and data models to support high-performance analytics.

- Create efficient abstractions that balance flexibility, maintainability, and speedalways with team input.

- Collaborate openly with peers on service boundaries, API contracts, and architecture decisions.

- Leverage AI tools daily to accelerate your coding, reviews, and problem-solving, shipping production code frequently.

- Profile and optimise critical paths to ensure seamless performance at scale.

What You Bring (Non-Negotiables)

- 5+ years of professional experience building user-facing Go-based products (not just tools, scripts, DevOps systems, or infrastructure)with Go as the primary language in product-based services, understanding the full product development lifecycle.

- Expertise in microservices architecture and decomposition.

- Production experience with Gin, AWS SQS, PostgreSQL, and gRPC.

- Mastery of Go's concurrency model (channels, mutexes, atomics).

- Strong skills in PostgreSQL optimization, including indexing and query tuning.

- Infrastructure-as-Code experience with AWS CDK or Terraform.

- Background in product companies, scaling backend systems for real users.

- Currently based in Bangalore with a short and reasonable commute to Koramangalaready to start within 30 days (no relocations).
