Job Description

You are applying for the position of Senior GCP Cloud Administrator for Forbes Advisor, a part of the Forbes Marketplace initiative. As a Senior GCP Cloud Administrator, your role will involve managing and optimizing various aspects of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to ensure efficient data management and operational practices. **Responsibilities:** - Manage and configure roles/permissions in GCP IAM by following the principle of least privileged access - Optimize Big Query service through slot assignments, SQL Queries, FinOps practices, troubleshooting critical data queries, etc. - Collaborate with various teams for efficient data management and operational practices in GCP - Create automations and monitoring mechanisms for GCP Data-related services, processes, and tasks - Design GCP-specific cloud architecture in collaboration with development teams - Provision and de-provision GCP accounts and resources for internal projects - Manage multiple GCP subscriptions and keep technical documentation up to date - Stay updated on GCP announcements, services, and developments proactively **Requirements:** - Minimum 5 years of experience in provisioning, operating, and maintaining systems in GCP - Valid certification in either GCP Associate Cloud Engineer or GCP Professional Cloud Architect - Hands-on experience with GCP services like IAM, BigQuery, GKE, etc. - Ability to provide support and guidance on GCP operations and services as per enterprise needs - Knowledge of docker containers and Kubernetes - Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively - Fast learner, achiever with high personal goals - Capability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines consistently - Willingness to work on a shift-basis as per project requirements **Good to Have:** - Experience in Terraform Automation over GCP Infrastructure provisioning - Familiarity with Cloud Composer, Dataproc, Dataflow Storage, Monitoring services - Experience in building and supporting data pipelines - Knowledge of multi-cloud environments, particularly AWS - Familiarity with New Relic monitoring If you meet the requirements and possess the desired skills, you will benefit from perks such as a day off on the 3rd Friday of every month, a Monthly Wellness Reimbursement Program, and paid paternity and maternity leaves.
