Senior Game Designer

Role Overview: As a Senior Game Designer focused on Gameplay at LightFury, you will play a crucial role in designing core batting, bowling, and fielding systems for E-Cricket. Your primary mission is to transform authentic sports dynamics into competitive, satisfying, and user-friendly gameplay loops. This pivotal role requires you to drive the end-to-end design of core moment-to-moment gameplay loops and collaborate with various teams to ensure a responsive and rewarding gaming experience. Key Responsibilities: - Own the design for core moment-to-moment gameplay loops, focusing on Character, Controls, and Camera (3C) principles - Design gameplay systems for batting, bowling, fielding, and running between wickets, ensuring intuitive and satisfying actions for players - Create systems that cater to multiple input systems and difficulty levels, scaling for both casual players and skilled competitors - Design and tune shot timing, ball trajectory prediction, delivery types, reaction systems, and player stamina/fatigue models - Collaborate with data, animation, and UX teams to ensure gameplay systems are responsive and fluid - Produce clear feature specs, moment-to-moment flows, and drive early prototyping and tuning passes - Balance authenticity with accessibility, ensuring depth is optional and not mandatory for players - Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor junior designers on gameplay principles and system cohesion - Actively playtest, iterate, and advocate for gameplay excellence Qualifications Required: - Senior-level Game Designer with 7+ years of hands-on gameplay systems experience in shipped mobile or console titles - Strategic thinker who can balance clarity of design, speed of execution, and creative risk-taking - Proficient in design and prototyping tools such as Unreal Engine (Blueprints), Miro, Figma, Notion, and Google Sheets - Experience working on sports games or familiarity with trait-based AI, physics-driven interaction, or asynchronous PvP systems is a plus Company Details: Omit this section as no additional company details are provided in the job description.,
