Senior Full-Stack Engineer

Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer with strong backend expertise and proven team leadership experience to join a fast-moving product engineering team. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience with Node.js, React, and PostgreSQL, and should be comfortable working directly with cross-functional teams in the US healthcare market. This role requires someone who can integrate into daily workflows, collaborate in real time during EST hours, and contribute to both backend and frontend needs with a primary focus on backend systems.

As a senior team lead, you will guide technical direction, support developers, and ensure high-quality delivery across engineering efforts.

Role & responsibilities

Backend & Full-Stack Engineering

• Lead backend development using Node.js with a strong focus on API development integrations, and scalable architecture.
• Develop and maintain frontend features using React as needed.
• Manage and optimize PostgreSQL databases, including queries, schema changes, and performance tuning.
• Own deployment workflows and CI/CD processes.
• Work with AWS services, including S3 and EC2, to support application hosting, storage and infrastructure.

Team Leadership & Collaboration:

• Lead a small engineering team, providing technical guidance, code reviews, technical decision-making, and mentoring.
• Ensure consistent engineering quality, productivity, and on-time delivery.
• Work directly with cross-functional teams including QA, UX, and leadership to deliver new features and enhancements.
• Collaborate closely with US-based stakeholders during daily EST hours.

• Attend internal team meetings from 11:15 AM 12 PM EST.

• Be available for secondary team collaboration meetings from 12 PM 3 PM EST.

Product & Domain Alignment:

• Contribute to product improvements with an understanding of US healthcare workflows (preferred but not mandatory).
• Support real-time decision-making and problem-solving during core EST hours.

Preferred candidate profile

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong backend engineering expertise with Node.js (must).
• Proficiency with React (Redux, Formik) for frontend components (must).
• Hands-on expertise with PostgreSQL (queries, schema design, performance tuning).
• Basic experience with AWS, especially S3 and EC2.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and modern deployment workflows.
• Prior exposure to the US and healthcare technology markets.
• Ability to work independently and drive end-to-end solutions.
• Mandatory: Availability from 9 AM 5 PM EST without exception.

Senior Leadership:

• Demonstrated experience leading engineering teams, mentoring developers, anddriving architectural decisions.
• Ability to enforce engineering standards and ensure high-quality code delivery
• Strong communication skills for real-time collaboration with US-based stakeholders.

Additional Expectations

• Ability to join immediately ideally next week or the following week.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, agile, US-facing product engineering environment
