Senior Front End Engineer

You will be joining Liberis as a part of the Engineering team, which aims to build products and automation to drive Liberis" growth in the embedded finance market. The team consists of over 90 individuals based in the UK and Mumbai, organized into domain-aligned teams working on specific parts of the product offering and supporting functions like DevEx, Data, Architecture, & support. The mission is to develop composable, modular technology platforms to bridge the global SME funding gap. Collaboration and speed are highly valued within the team. As a part of the Mumbai team, your responsibilities will include: - Leading the development of responsive, accessible, and highly performant user-facing features using Next.js and React. - Architecting and building reusable, high-quality frontend components and libraries for future use. - Working in collaborative teams to create exceptional experiences for both internal and external users. - Optimizing applications for speed, scalability, and cross-browser compatibility. - Upholding frontend best practices by writing clean, maintainable, and well-documented code. - Establishing and upholding high standards for code quality through code reviews, automated testing, and other quality assurances. - Engaging in the entire software lifecycle from ideation to maintenance, including collecting feedback and making improvements. - Mentoring junior engineers. - Contributing to the distributed, global architecture while ensuring quality and performance requirements are met. To be considered for this role, you should have: - Extensive professional experience in frontend development, with expertise in Next.js, React, and modern JavaScript (ES6+). - A strong portfolio showcasing your ability to build complex, scalable, and user-centric web applications. - Profound understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and core web concepts. - Experience with modern frontend development tools such as bundlers (e.g., Webpack), package managers, and testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Cypress). - Familiarity with Agile methodologies like Extreme Programming, Kanban, or Scrum. - Previous experience mentoring junior team members. - Ability to adapt in early-stage business environments where requirements are evolving and experimentation is crucial. - Willingness to learn the broader tech stack, including C# .net and GCP, to enhance collaboration with backend teams.
