Job Summary:

A Senior Frontend Engineer role focused on leading frontend development using Vue.js and modern JavaScript ecosystems. The position involves designing reusable architecture, optimizing performance, improving developer velocity, and guiding UI quality across product teams. This remote role requires working in alignment with Europe/Dublin time zone.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead technical design and implementation of core product features using Vue.js (Composition API), Pinia, and Vuetify
• Architect scalable, modular frontend systems for distributed applications
• Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate REST and GraphQL APIs seamlessly
• Drive performance optimization strategies, including lazy loading, code splitting, caching, and bundle optimization
• Monitor Lighthouse performance metrics and implement best practices to deliver fast, responsive UX
• Build and maintain a shared component library and design system for UI consistency and rapid development
• Establish and enforce frontend best practices and coding standards
• Partner with Head of Product, UX Designers, and Backend Engineers to deliver user-centric features
• Participate in sprint planning, architecture discussions, and release planning
• Write clean, testable code using TypeScript, ES6+, and modern tooling
• Implement and maintain automated test suites using Jest, Vitest, Playwright, or Cypress
• Contribute to continuous integration and deployment pipelines using GitHub Actions/GitLab CI
• Advocate for frontend engineering excellence and evolving best practices
• Explore AI-driven tooling and workflows to improve development productivity

Must Have Skills

• Vue.js, Pinia, Vuetify
• State management, reactivity, component design patterns
• Frontend build tools (Vite, Webpack, or Rollup)
• Unit, integration, and E2E testing
• HTML5, CSS3, responsive UI, and accessibility (WCAG)
• REST and GraphQL API integration
• Knowledge of front-end architecture
