Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Finance Consultant with expertise in ERPNext or a strong background in finance to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of financial operations, accounting, and ERP systems, with a focus on ERPNext. In this role, you will work closely with clients to analyze their financial processes, recommend solutions, and ensure the successful implementation of ERPNext within their financial departments. Key Responsibilities: ERPNext Implementation & Optimization: Lead the implementation, configuration, and optimization of ERPNext for clients. Conduct system analysis to understand the clients current financial processes and recommend improvements. Customize ERPNext modules to align with clients financial requirements (e.g., General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, etc.). Provide training and guidance to client teams on ERPNext functionalities. Financial Analysis & Reporting: Review and assess financial reports, statements, and performance metrics generated by ERPNext. Collaborate with finance teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting. Recommend financial best practices and tools to enhance reporting capabilities. Client Advisory & Support: Provide expert advice on ERPNext functionalities and financial processes, ensuring alignment with industry standards. Support clients in addressing issues related to ERPNext finance modules and assist in troubleshooting. Guide clients in establishing internal controls, budgeting, and forecasting processes within ERPNext. Project Management: Manage ERPNext implementation projects from start to finish, ensuring adherence to timelines, scope, and budget. Coordinate with cross-functional teams (technical, business, and client teams) to ensure smooth project execution. Lead workshops, user acceptance testing (UAT), and client training sessions. Continuous Improvement & Innovation: Stay up to date with the latest trends and updates in ERPNext and the financial technology sector. Identify areas for system improvements and propose innovative solutions for clients. Drive process efficiency and automation by leveraging ERPNext features. Qualifications: Education & Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (MBA or Master’s degree is a plus). Proven experience in finance or accounting roles, with a strong understanding of financial management, accounting principles, and reporting. Experience working with ERPNext, including implementing, configuring, and optimizing the system. Alternatively, substantial experience in ERP systems with a focus on financial modules. Skills & Experience: In-depth knowledge of ERPNext finance modules such as Accounting, Payroll, Bank Reconciliation, and Financial Reporting. Strong background in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls. Experience with data migration, system integrations, and customizations in ERPNext or similar ERP systems. Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with clients at all levels. Ability to analyze complex financial problems and recommend practical, efficient solutions. Proficiency in financial software, spreadsheets, and reporting tools (Excel, Power BI, etc.). Additional Skills (Preferred): Certification in ERPNext or related financial systems. Project management experience, including working with Agile methodologies. Knowledge of accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS) and compliance requirements. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to continuous improvement. Personal Attributes: Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities. Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail. Client-focused and team-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to simplify complex financial concepts for non-financial stakeholders.
