Job Description

Role & responsibilities:

Manpower Gap Filling:

Assess current workforce against operational needs and identify shortages or surpluses.
Liaise with departmental heads to anticipate future manpower requirements.

Contractual Labor Management:

Coordinate with labour contractors for timely supply and replacement of manpower.
Ensure compliance with statutory and legal requirements
Monitor contractor performance, attendance, and documentation.

Fixation of Manpower Standards:

Conduct time-and-motion studies or consult relevant departments to define job-wise manpower norms.
Assist in drafting SOPs to guide optimum labour deployment.

Manpower Optimization:
Analyse productivity and recommend measures to reduce inefficiencies and excess labour.
Documentation & Compliance:
Maintain updated records of labour deployment, contractor agreements, and statutory registers.
Ensure adherence to labour laws, internal policies, and audit requirements.
Stakeholder Coordination:
Act as a point of contact between Senior Manager HR, labour contractors, and shop floor supervisors.
Provide periodic reports to the management on manpower metrics.

Preferred candidate profile:

Candidate must have experience in the manufacturing company
