Senior Executive - Grievance, Compliance & Ethics

Role & responsibilities

1) Grievance Handling & Resolution

• Act as the first point of contact for employee grievances.
• Ensure all grievances are logged, tracked, and resolved within stipulated timelines.
• Conduct impartial investigations, interviews, and documentation of cases.
• Mediate and facilitate fair resolution aligned with organizational policies and laws.
• Manage end-to-end disciplinary proceedings and actions.

2) Compliance & Legal Oversight

• Ensure grievance handling aligns with labor laws, employment regulations, and organizational policies.
• Monitor compliance with HR policies, statutory regulations, and redressal mechanisms.
• Liaise with legal advisors/counsel when required for case resolution.

3) Ethics & Unethical Business Practices

• Identify, track, and investigate reports of unethical business practices linked to HR, such as favouritism, bias, misuse of authority, or violations of policy.
• Escalate ethical concerns and recommend corrective actions to leadership/ethics committees.
• Develop preventive measures, awareness sessions, and trainings to strengthen ethical conduct within HR and employee practices.

4) Reporting & Documentation

• Maintain updated grievance and ethics-related records, case files, and closure reports.
• Generate monthly/quarterly dashboards for leadership on grievance trends, compliance status, and unethical practice escalations.
• Draft detailed case reports post investigation and publish to the relevant authorized person for approval and ensure recommended action is actioned on the ground.
• Recommend policy/process enhancements.

5) Policy & Process Improvement

• Recommend improvements to grievance redressal and ethics management frameworks.
• Conduct awareness/training sessions for employees and managers on grievance procedures.
• Identify recurring issues and work with HR leadership to implement preventive measures.
