Senior Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Ability to handle the customer complaints specifically off road vehicle / tractors.
• Basic knowledge of tractors & farm equipments & applications.
• Basic knowledge of drawing reading and interpretations.
• Knowledge in Steering & front axle aggregates parts & its Failure analysis
• Knowledge in Reliability Prediction and Improvements.
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Responsible for Reduction of warranty cost and complaints through product, process and parts improvements.
• Failure analysis of field complaints and implementation of solution through CFT approach.
• Interaction with Suppliers for solution development for field failures.
• Drive Zero defect project and ensure proactive actions in new product
• Liaison with R&D and Manufacturing location for addressing Design issues and assembly process issues.
• Field visits to obtain data on nature of failure, to arrive root causes and actual customer requirements
• Responsible for preparation MIS regarding warranty cost & complaints.
• Auditing suppliers along with SQA for ensuring for corrective & preventive actions.
• Guiding/ Supporting the team members for effective problem resolution through TIPS methodology/ DMAIC Approach.

Preferred candidate profile

B.E (Mech Engg.) with 3-5 years of experience in product Quality Field/warranty failure analysis, identification of root cause solution, and implementation through systematic problem-solving methods. Need to have specialization in six sigma Green belt, Product Reliability prediction, Problem solving skills and analytical techniques & presentation skills.
