Senior Engineer – Tool Design (Plastic Injection Moulding)

QUALIFICATION:

• Diploma - Tool & Die or Mechanical / BE - Mechanical or Plastic Technology / PD - Tool Design
• Certified training in

  Creo

  design tools is an advantage.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create

  3D CAD models and 2D detailed drawings of injection moulds

  using

  Creo

  .
• Design core, cavity, cooling systems, gating, runner systems, and ejection mechanisms.
• Ensure mould designs meet customer product requirements, tolerances, and production volumes.
• Review part design for mouldability and suggest improvements to product designers.
• Ensure adherence to

  GD&T

  and industry standards.
• Coordinate with toolmakers, machinists, and vendors during tool manufacturing.
• Support

  mould trials

  and resolve design-related issues.
• Maintain all design documents, revision history, and templates as per ISO/AS9100 or customer-specific requirements.
• Participate in customer meetings for technical discussions and approvals.
• Suggest design changes to improve tool life, reduce cycle time, and minimize production defects.

REQUIRED SKILL:

• Expert-level

  Creo Parametric

  skills for 3D modelling and detailing.
• Proficiency in mould flow analysis tools preferred.
• Understanding of different mould types.
• Familiarity with

  plastic moulds and manufacturing processes

  .
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and project management abilities.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:

• Strong knowledge of

  injection mould design principles and mould components
