Senior Engineer - Mechanical

Role Overview: You will be responsible for designing Special Purpose Machines (SPM) and applying advanced engineering design principles to each project activity. Your role will involve creating complex 3D models, assemblies, and detailed 2D drawings of machines using SolidWorks. Additionally, you will need to have a strong understanding of concept design in the special purpose machines domain and be skilled in conceptualizing and designing machines based on specific manufacturing requirements. Key Responsibilities: - Organize design and verification reviews with internal and external teams. - Apply Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles to ensure the accuracy and precision of machine components. - Select and integrate bought-out components, such as motors, cylinders, and actuators, into machine designs. - Report daily to the Team Leader about project progress and potential issues. - Conduct internal quality checks for yourself and the team to ensure defect-free deliverables. - Communicate effectively with global engineers using excellent oral and written English communication skills. Qualifications Required: - BE/B.Tech/M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering - At least 5 years of design experience in Machine Design / Special Purpose Machines (SPM) - Proficiency in SolidWorks for creating 3D models, 2D drawings, and product structures - Strong knowledge of material properties, material selection, and manufacturing processes - Experience with tolerance stack-up analysis and recommending feasible solutions based on manufacturing capabilities - Familiarity with industry standards for machine design - Competency in Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) - Excellent oral and written English communication skills; proficiency in French is an added advantage.,
