Senior Engineer II

As a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) at MetLife, you will be part of an exciting opportunity to contribute to the digital and AI transformation journey. Your role will involve driving the transformation that enables business results through the delivery of high-quality software in an Agile environment. By adopting test automation within Agile sprints and leveraging the Gen-AI toolset, you will play a crucial role in achieving a high velocity of releases without compromising delivery quality. Your responsibilities will include adopting Agile ways of working in the software delivery lifecycle, working closely with software engineers to identify code defects or regressions, and writing efficient test automation code using coding standards and best practices. You will validate application functionality through the implementation of test strategies, automation frameworks, tools, and dashboards. Additionally, you will participate in planning and documenting basic test strategies and acceptance criteria based on customer needs, as well as in test execution (both automated and manual) for new builds and regression. Analyzing reports, troubleshooting, investigating failures, maintaining automation scripts, performing peer reviews of the automation codebase, and analyzing and repairing broken test cases and failures will also be part of your responsibilities.
