Job Title: Senior Engineer - Fire Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Engineer - Fire to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing fire protection and safety systems for various projects. You will work closely with project managers, architects, and other engineers to ensure compliance with local fire codes, regulations, and industry standards. Key Responsibilities: - Design and develop fire protection systems including fire alarms, sprinklers, and smoke control systems. - Conduct fire risk assessments and safety evaluations for new and existing buildings. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate fire protection measures into overall project designs. - Review and approve technical drawings, specifications, and calculations related to fire safety. - Stay updated on the latest fire safety technologies, codes, and best practices. - Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and interns. - Participate in site inspections and evaluations to ensure proper installation and functionality of fire safety systems. - Prepare and present reports and documentation for regulatory compliance and project stakeholders. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. - A minimum of 5 years of experience in fire protection design and engineering. - Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred. - Strong knowledge of fire safety codes, standards (NFPA, IFC), and building regulations. - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work in a team-oriented environment. - Proficiency in fire protection design software and tools.
