Senior Engineer-Design

Role & responsibilities

Responsible for all technical aspects from concept 3D modelling to detail design and drafting using CATIA tool

• 3D model concept development using CATIA
• Detail design of parts and assembly with GD&T and right materials
• Analyse the Manufacturability of the product
• Conduct DQR and ensure quality of drawings
• Ability to modify and refine designs, using working models to confirm with customer specifications, product limitations or changes in design trends
• Converting 3D models into 2D drawings, ensuring right specification using GD & T and the right materials into standard drawing templates
• Ensure standardisation of products through part commonization
• Technical documentation and presentation to Program Engineer
• Knowledge of drawing release process and PDM system
• Knowledge of APQP, DFMEA & VA/VE
• Knowledge of Ball joint & bush design calculation & Validation.
• Cross functional interaction with R&D, manufacturing, purchase and plant

Preferred candidate profile

The Design Engineer is responsible for design and development of Lower & upper control arm, Ball joint, bush & other suspension part using CAD tools specially CATIA. Ensure 3D models abiding to the customer requirements and meet functional product requirements.

Knowledge

Experience in Sheet Metal Components

and suspension system organization
