Job posting end date: 01-Aug-2025 Job Title: Manager/ Senior Manager- Purchase Division: Metso Pump Division Location: Alwar, Rajasthan Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sourcing & Procurement Specialist to join our Metso Pump Division. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of SAP, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in MS Office. As a team player, you will collaborate with various departments to ensure the efficient procurement of materials and services. Overall Responsibility: - The Procurement Manager is responsible for leading and developing the procurement function at the unit in India, focusing on both operational and strategic procurement activities. The role involves close collaboration with the global category procurement team to ensure local procurement aligns with global strategies, processes, and objectives Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement sourcing strategies to optimize procurement processes. Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts to secure the best terms. Monitor and analyze market trends to identify potential sourcing opportunities. Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations. Utilize SAP for procurement activities, including purchase orders, inventory management, and supplier performance tracking. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and meet their procurement needs. Prepare and present reports on procurement activities and performance metrics. Continuously seek opportunities for cost savings and process improvements. Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure quality and reliability. Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure timely delivery of materials. Develop and maintain a supplier database with up-to-date information. Assist in the development of procurement budgets and forecasts. Resolve any issues related to procurement, such as delivery delays or quality discrepancies. Participate in cross-functional projects to support business objectives. Lead the local procurement team and ensure efficient operational procurement (ordering, delivery follow-up, supplier contacts) Implement and monitor global procurement strategies and category plans at the local level Identify and drive local cost-saving initiatives in collaboration with global category leaders Responsible for supplier development and evaluations in the region Participate in global procurement projects and contribute with local market knowledge Develop and monitor KPIs for procurement performance Collaborate closely with other functions such as production, quality, logistics, and R&D Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, ethical guidelines, and sustainability requirements Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Administration, or a related field Minimum Experience of 15 years in Purchase Domain only. Proven experience in sourcing and procurement, preferably in the manufacturing industry. Proficiency in SAP and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Strong negotiation and communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications: Certification in Supply Chain Management will be added advantage. Experience with procurement in the pump or related industries.
