Our engineering team plans and implements large-scale plants in the metallurgical and chemical industry. A key focus of our work is the planning, sizing, and procurement of process equipment – so-called package units. For this, we are looking for an engineer specializing in "Rotating Equipment" (pumps, blowers, compressors, etc.). As a Project Engineer - Mechanical Equipment - you will: Design, develop, and optimize fluid systems. Perform preliminary designs for the corresponding equipment. Conduct time and budget planning for the assigned equipment packages. Specify the technical requirements for the equipment packages and engineering services of the suppliers, request the equipment worldwide, and evaluate the supplier offers. Conduct technical negotiations with suppliers and prepare the award. Coordinate the interfaces with other disciplines in international implementation projects. Manage subcontractors regarding their delivery and performance scope. Ensure that the delivery and performance scope meet quality requirements. Conduct inspections at the manufacturers' plants. Participate in the preparation of offers and support the offer team. Participate in the measures of Product Safety Management (PSM) in the projects. What we look for in you: A bachelor's degree, preferably a master's degree in mechanical or process engineering discipline. Good knowledge in the areas of fluid mechanics and thermodynamics. Professional experience in handling mechanical equipment and industrial projects. Experience in project work with international project teams is desirable. Good English skills, both written and spoken; German language is an advantage. Willingness to travel for inspections and project meetings.
