Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Senior Engineer with 5 to 8 years of experience to manage and support Azure Virtual Desktop Persistent environments, ensuring high availability and performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in infrastructure operations and a deep understanding of the tools and technologies required to support these operations. This position is located in Bangalore.
Roles and Responsibility

Manage and support Azure Virtual Desktop Persistent environments to ensure high availability and performance.

Monitor and maintain infrastructure operations, including servers, networks, and virtual desktop environments.

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Azure Virtual Desktop and associated infrastructure.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and optimize virtual desktop solutions.

Develop and maintain documentation for infrastructure operations and support processes.

Provide training and support to end-users and other support teams.

Stay updated with the latest Azure Virtual Desktop features, updates, and best practices.

Job

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Minimum 5 years of experience in technical support, with a focus on infrastructure operations.

In-depth knowledge of Azure Virtual Desktop Persistent environments.

Strong understanding of networking, server management, and virtualization technologies.

Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Experience with Azure infrastructure services, such as Azure VMs, Azure Storage, and Azure Networking.

Knowledge of network security practices and tools, such as firewalls, VPNs, and IDS/IPS.

Familiarity with cloud platforms, such as AWS and Azure, and cloud-based infrastructure.

Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell and Azure CLI.

Experience with monitoring and logging tools, such as Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.

Knowledge of ITIL processes and best practices.

Experience with endpoint management tools, such as Microsoft Endpoint Manager.

Familiarity with Active Directory and identity management.

Understanding of network protocols and services, including DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP.

Experience with virtualization technologies, such as VMware and Hyper-V.

Knowledge of Windows Virtual Desktop (WVD) and Remote Desktop Services (RDS).

Familiarity with security and compliance features in Azure, including Azure Security Center and Azure Policy.

Experience with Azure Active Directory (AAD) and its integration with on-premises AD.

Knowledge of Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.

Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, such as Terraform and ARM templates.

Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions in Azure.

Understanding of multifactor authentication (MFA) and single sign-on (SSO) solutions.

Proficiency in managing and supporting persistent virtual desktops.

Experience with Azure Virtual Desktop scaling and optimization.

Knowledge of Azure Virtual Desktop image management and deployment.

Familiarity with Azure Virtual Desktop user profile management and FSLogix.

Preferred QualificationsExperience with other virtual desktop platforms and technologies, certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., Microsoft Azure, VMware), experience with cloud-based infrastructure and services.
