Senior DevOps Engineer GitHub Migration to GitHub EMU.

Overview

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer with strong experience in GitHub Enterprise, GitHub EMU migration, and enterprise-level DevOps automation. The engineer will lead the end-to-end migration of users, repositories, workflows, and integrations from traditional GitHub Enterprise to GitHub EMU (Enterprise Managed Users).

Key Responsibilities

• Lead migration from GitHub Enterprise to GitHub EMU.
• Set up and manage enterprise-wide GitHub governance, permissions, teams, and org structures.
• Migrate repositories, Actions workflows, runners, and integrations.
• Work with Identity Provider teams to support SSO/SCIM integrations.
• Ensure compliance, auditability, and secure GitHub configurations.
• Troubleshoot EMU onboarding, provisioning, and workflow issues.
• Define best practices for Git strategy, security policies, and automation.
• Collaborate with Cloud, Security, and IAM teams during migration.

Required Skills

• Hands-on experience with GitHub Enterprise Cloud, EMU.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD, GitHub Actions, and self/hosted runners.
• Deep understanding of DevOps, automation, and enterprise governance.
• Expertise with scripting (Python/Shell).
• Experience managing multiple large-scale migrations.
