Senior Design Engineer

Candidate must have experienced in Special Purpose machine building or secondary , tercery packaging machine mfg, end of line packaging machine mfg. with well known of Solid works.

Role & responsibilities

• Lead mechanical / electromechanical / automation design projects from concept through to delivery and production handover.
• Create and review detailed 3D CAD models, assemblies and detailed manufacturing drawings in solid works.
• Develop and specify components: motors, gears, bearings, actuators, sensors, drives (VFD/Servo), electrical enclosures etc.
• Work closely with electrical & control engineering teams to integrate the hardware & control systems.
• Ensure designs meet criteria: performance, safety, reliability, cost, manufacturability, maintainability.
• Perform design validation, testing, prototyping. Troubleshoot design issues
• Conduct Design Reviews; manage design changes / revisions; maintain documentation.
• Optimize designs for cost, material usage, production yield.
• Mentor / guide junior design engineers; coordinate with other teams (procurement, quality, manufacturing).
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards (Industrial safety, electrical, mechanical), regulatory & company engineering standards.
• Work with clients / stakeholders when needed to understand requirements, offer design inputs, suggest improvements.

Advantageous Skills

• Experience in automation / packaging / robotics / systems integration / Palletizer System.
• Hands-on experience in prototype build / test / field trials.
• Experience with CAD simulations (e.g. stress / thermal / motion).
• Timely delivery of design milestones.
• Reduced design iteration cycles via good upfront design.
• Cost savings in materials, production through optimized design.
• Low change-orders post production handover.
• Product reliability & fewer defects.
• Feedback from manufacturing / quality on design clarity / manufacturability.
