Senior Data Engineer

As a Senior Data Engineer in the Analytics & Information Management (AIM) team located in Gurugram, your role will be crucial in developing and implementing data analytics solutions to support key business objectives for Legal Operations within the Chief Operating Office (COO). Your responsibilities will include: - Supporting Business Execution activities in the Chief Operating Office by implementing data engineering solutions to manage banking operations - Establishing monitoring routines, scorecards, and escalation workflows - Overseeing Data Strategy, Smart Automation, Insight Generation, Data Quality, and Reporting activities - Enabling proactive issue detection, escalation workflows, and alignment with firmwide Data Related policies - Building a governance framework with clear stewardship roles and data quality controls - Interface between business and technology partners for digitizing data collection and performance generation - Communicating findings and recommendations to senior management - Staying current with the latest trends and technologies in analytics - Ensuring compliance with data governance policies and regulatory requirements - Setting up a governance operating framework to enable operationalization of data domains - Working with large and complex data sets to evaluate, recommend, and support the implementation of business strategies - Identifying and compiling data sets using tools like SQL and Access to help predict, improve, and measure the success of key business outcomes - Implementing rule-based Data Quality checks across critical data points - Developing and executing the analytics strategy for Data Ingestion, Reporting, and Insights Centralization - Working as a senior member in a team of data engineering professionals Qualifications required for this role include: - 5+ years of experience in Business Transformation Solution Design roles with proficiency in tools/technologies like Python, PySpark, Tableau, MicroStrategy, SQL etc. - Strong understanding of Data Transformation, Data Strategy, Data Architecture, Data Tracing & Lineage, and Scalable Data Flow Design - Conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling expertise - Proficiency in relational and dimensional data modeling techniques - Expertise in database performance tuning and optimization - Experience in developing and deploying AI solutions in partnership with Tech and Business - Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to data privacy and security - Ability to interact with senior stakeholders across the organization to manage end-to-end conceptualization & implementation of data strategies Education required for this role: - Bachelors/University degree in STEM, Masters degree preferred Please note that this job description provides a high-level overview of the types of work performed.
