Senior Corrosion Engineer

As a Senior Corrosion Engineer in our team based in Jamnagar, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our commitment to innovative solutions in the Oil and Gas sector. Your expertise in corrosion prevention, testing, and related chemical engineering practices will support the integrity and longevity of our installations, essential for our continuous growth and leadership in the industry. **Key Responsibilities:** - Aid the head of the department in setting objectives aligned with business goals to maximize availability and reliability of fixed equipment at the site. - Identify and address the training and development needs of inspection engineers to ensure conformance. - Ensure all department activities are conducted safely following relevant procedures and standards, with inspection records maintained in systems like SAP and Meridium. - Participate in reliability assurance activities and implement recommendations from various initiatives. - Review inspection reports and recommendations, ensuring timely completion of pending inspections and compliance with procedures. - Conduct root cause analysis of equipment failures, generate reports, and provide recommendations. - Participate in RBI studies and liaise with statutory authorities for compliance with regulations. - Plan and execute major shutdown activities, evaluate contractor performance, and administer contracts. - Conduct vendor assessments for the supply of fixed equipment spares and consumables to assure quality. **Qualification & Experience:** - BE/ME in Mechanical Engineering or Metallurgical Engineering. - Valid certification in ASNT / ISNT Level II in at least two techniques: MPI / UT / RT. - Training in root cause analysis will be considered a strong qualification. - Certification in at least two API standards: 510 / 570 / 653. - Certification in CSWIP / AWS will be considered a strong qualification. As a Senior Corrosion Engineer, you are expected to demonstrate operating discipline, leadership qualities, analytical thinking, and excellent communication skills. Your knowledge of design codes, standards, maintenance systems, and practices of refinery/petrochemical units, along with materials and metallurgy applications, will be vital in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our operations.,
