Key Responsibilities: - Market Penetration & Expansion: Identify and target new markets to drive growth, establish the company's presence, and create actionable plans for market entry. - Strategic Partnerships: Lead the process of forming high-impact partnerships that drive revenue and strategic alignment with product and marketing teams. - Lead Generation & Opportunity Identification: Actively generate high-quality leads and manage them through the pipeline to ensure conversion into significant deals. - Execution of Go-to-Market Strategies: Implement GTM strategies for new product launches or market expansion initiatives to drive measurable outcomes. - Team Leadership & Development: Build, manage, and coach a results-oriented business development team to ensure accountability and address underperformance. - Sales Enablement & Support: Collaborate with the sales team to enhance their ability to close deals by providing strategic insights, training, and materials. - Rapid Adaptability & Decision-Making: Quickly assess market changes, pivot strategies as needed, and optimize the business development approach for fast results. Qualifications Required: - Experience: 7-10 years in business development, with a focus on pharma, biotech, SaaS, or technology solutions. At least 5 years of experience in drug discovery and development is preferred. - Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in driving new business growth, securing partnerships, and penetrating new markets. - Hands-On Leadership: Ability to lead by example, actively engage in deals, and work directly with partners, customers, and internal teams. - Strong Negotiator & Closer: Capable of driving discussions with C-level executives and key stakeholders to secure agreements. - Strategic Thinking & Action-Oriented: Able to think strategically while executing quickly to drive real results. - Accountability & Decision-Making: Willing to make tough decisions, address issues promptly, and hold team members accountable for performance. - Team Building & Performance Management: Experience in building and leading teams to achieve significant business development goals. - Global Perspective: Experience working in global markets and navigating cultural nuances for successful geographic expansions.
