Senior Business Analyst, Sales and Use Tax

As a Senior Business Analyst at the company, you will work closely with the India / U.S teams to utilize the latest Data Analytics technologies in the Transaction Tax space. Your role involves gathering process requirements, designing and deploying solutions, managing project communications, and ensuring the quality of every task received from counterparts. Here are your key responsibilities: - Create a positive team experience and actively participate in meetings to offer insights and recommendations for process improvements - Communicate with India / global counterparts to address queries and update on project status - Troubleshoot and resolve database issues within the team - Respond to client inquiries within timelines and communicate project status to stakeholders - Adhere to Quality Assurance measures to deliver quality work products - Assist in the extraction and transfer of client data and understand stakeholders" requirements to meet business needs In this role, you will also be responsible for: - Working on data-related projects including importing, cleansing, transforming, and modeling - Leveraging text recognition tools to streamline document processing and reduce manual input time - Developing and designing analytic workflows to fulfill business needs - Building and managing Alteryx workflows and macros to improve task quality - Identifying technical dependencies and recommending solutions - Completing assigned tasks with urgency and confidentiality when needed - Assisting in reconciling and analyzing client data using various tools - Leading and contributing in meetings, design sessions, and workshops Qualifications required for this position include: - Any Masters or Bachelors Degree - 5+ years of experience in developing solutions in SQL databases, Python, and/or VBA - 2+ years of experience with Alteryx - Exposure to reinforcement learning techniques and self-service data analytics tools - Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Internet navigation, and research - Knowledge of accounting processes and ERP systems - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Strong interpersonal skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams - Attention to detail and complex problem-solving capabilities This role does not have supervisory responsibilities. The current work hours are from 2.00 PM to 11.00 PM, IST, with a possibility of shift changes based on global offices" work hours. Overtime may be required during peak seasons.
