Senior Backend Engineer

Founded in 2019, we have experienced rapid growth, transitioning from $800K to $5M ARR, and are dedicated to empowering businesses to enhance customer experiences, drive efficiency, and foster growth through automation. **Key Responsibilities:** - **Backend architecture:** Design, build, and maintain highly scalable, reliable, and secure backend systems. - **API design & integrations:** Develop APIs and microservices for real-time AI conversations and integrations with third-party platforms. - **Data flow & performance:** Ensure efficient data modeling, storage, and retrieval for high-volume chat and analytics workloads. - **System reliability:** Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting to uphold uptime and performance SLAs. - **Scaling the platform:** Optimize for concurrency, distributed processing, and low-latency interactions to cater to global enterprise customers. - **Collaboration:** Work closely with frontend, AI/ML, and product teams to deliver seamless features end-to-end. **Qualifications Required:** - 3+ years of backend engineering experience, preferably in SaaS or high-scale environments. - Strong command of Node.js/Python. - Deep understanding of databases (SQL & NoSQL), caching, and queue systems. - Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines. - Familiarity with designing secure, resilient APIs and microservices. - Strong debugging and problem-solving skills to tackle complex technical challenges. - Ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment and take full ownership of outcomes. **Additional Details:** WotNot offers a unique opportunity where you will closely collaborate with marketing and support teams, not limited to the product team.
