Senior Automation Engineer

How will you make an impact

• Write, test and maintain code which adheres to internal guidelines and industry best practices.


• Responsible for delivering feature(s) independently of high quality.


• Contributes actively to low level design definitions.


• Ensure applications are built to modern security standards.


• Write reusable code and libraries.


• Write automated tests to ensure code has the appropriate level of test coverage.


• Take part in code reviews (as reviewer and reviewee).


• Participate and contribute in team Scrum ceremonies.


• Create and maintain the required documentation.


• Is a team player

Have you got what it takes

• At least 5 years experience in testing roles for software engineering teams.


• At least 3 years hands-on experience with automated testing of Java applications and services in a cloud environment.


• Hands on in Playwright Automation.


• A good understanding of test automation design patterns, practices, tools, and frameworks e. g. TDD, BDD, Gherkin/SpecFlow/Jasmine, Selenium/Playwright etc. Writing tests using JavaScript, TypeScript etc.


• ISEB/ISTQB qualified (or equivalent).


• Experience in creating clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and scripts, through execution to reporting of the results.


• Practical experience in software testing (planning and execution, manual and automated) across the application landscape e. g. UI, business logic, data access, web services/APIs.


• Sound understanding of different types of tests, their value, and where they fit into the software development lifecycle.


• Experience with cross browser and non-functional testing strategies and tools.


• Knowledge of SQL.
