Senior Auditor

As a Senior Auditor at McDermott, your role involves guiding financial, operational, business process, or compliance audits to successful completion across the globe. Key Responsibilities: - Plan and execute Finance and Operational process audits, Project audits, and SOX/ICFR controls. - Identify opportunities for implementing data analytics in audits and control testing. - Propose improvements for audit testing and develop automated tests to enhance internal controls. - Prepare customizable audit programs identifying risks, controls, and audit procedures for each application used. - Interact effectively with various levels of management, including corporate, department, and line managers. - Prepare formal audit reports of critical findings for executive management. - Document information and findings to support audit testing following IIA and MDR standards. - Perform other responsibilities assigned by Audit Management. - Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of corrective actions taken by management. - Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (30% to 40%). Qualifications Required: - Undergraduate degree in Accounting and Finance from an accredited college or university. - Professional certification such as CA, ACCA, CPA, or CIA is mandatory. Additional certifications like CISA or CFE are advantageous. - 4 to 8 years of finance and operational auditing experience in multinational companies or big 4 accounting firms is essential. - Experience in Oil & Gas EPC or contracting companies is preferred, with international exposure considered a plus. - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and lead audit engagements is beneficial. - Strong report writing, verbal communication, and presentation skills are a requirement. - Advanced knowledge of Excel and experience with data analytics/visualization tools are necessary. - Familiarity with audit software like Audit Board is preferred.
