Provide accurate budgets for Tesco Newbuild, Refresh & Business Initiative projects by ensuring the costs are competitive, offer value for money in line with Tesco business plans and support the implementation of Development Programmed with construction project management. -Cost Estimation: Prepare Feasibility cost estimate by working closely with Business Owner, Property Project Manager (PPM), External Project Manager (EPM) & Main Contractor (MC) to ensure all scope of works are captured and costed. -Cost Control: Implementing effective cost control measures throughout the project lifecycle. This includes monitoring project budgets, tracking expenses, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and providing recommendations to ensure projects stay within budget. -Value Engineering and Variation Management: Collaborating with Retail planners, Suppliers, and UK colleagues to identify value engineering opportunities to optimize project costs. reviewing and assessing contractor payment applications, managing variations and claims. -Risk Management: Manage risks associated with construction projects to minimize potential disruptions and financial losses. -Final Account Settlement: Assessing and agreeing on final project costs, negotiating final payments, resolving any outstanding contractual matters and assets capitalization with Finance team. -Health and Safety Compliance: Collaborate with Project Managers to identify potential hazards, assess risks, and implement appropriate safety measures. -Financial Reporting: Prepare cost tracking reports with right budget forecast and compliance. -Governance: Preparation of PIR and Budget approval reports for weekly Property Governance. You will be responsible for - Understands business needs and in depth understanding of Tesco processes - Builds UK on Tesco colleagues processes (Property and Project knowledge Managers) by applying CI tools and techniques. - Responsible for completing Suppliers/Vendors/Main tasks and Contractors transactions within agreed KPIs - Solves Retail problems Planning, by analyzing Finance, solution Procurement alternatives & Property You will need Excel, Bluebeam Tool Bachelor s degree in civil engineering with minimum 5+ years of Supplier Negotiation experience in Quantity Surveying Experience in construction Cost Plan management preferred Continuous improvement & Innovative thinking
