Senior Associate - Production Support Engineer

Production Support Engineer is to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of software applications, Jobs and systems in a production environment. This role is critical for monitoring and maintaining the operational integrity of the software applications, Jobs and systems, minimizing downtime, and ensuring that any issues are promptly addressed to avoid disruptions to business operations

Desired Skills and experience

• Candidates should have a B.E./B.Tech/MCA/MBA in Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field
• 4-6 years of industry experience in production support work experience in to monitor and maintain jobs and software applications.
• Knowledge about the Agile, scrum
• Knowledge about the confluence, JIRA
• Strong knowledge of PL-SQL or T-SQL, stored procedures, transactions, SQL Server, and experience with relational database concepts
• Should have knowledge on .NET applications using .NET4.X Framework /C#, Web API, HTML5, CSS, Angular or other JS-based frameworks
• Proficiency in JavaScript and ECMAScript 6
• Experience in validate the REST API, Web service, WCF
• Experience in using tools like postman, Soap UI
• Strong experience using Selenium Webdrivers, TestNG, etc. with C#.Net.
• Experience of implementing automated testing (CT) as a part of CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with ITIL incident management processes.
• Experience in Fixed Income Markets or financial applications support is preferred
• Experience of managing production support and fixing issues
• Must have experience with SOA and Web Service standards (REST, JSON, SOAP, WSDL, WS-I Basic Profile), and IIS
• Experience in managing stakeholder expectations (client and project team) and generating relevant reports
• Excellent project tracking and monitoring skills
• Good decision making and problem-solving skills
• Adaptable, flexible and ability to prioritize and work in tight schedules
• Ability to manage pressure, ambiguity and change
• Preferred experience with Agile methodology and knowledge of Financial Services/Asset Management Industry
• Independently manage daily client communication, especially over calls Drives the work towards completion with accuracy and timely deliverables
• Good to have Financial Services knowledge

Key responsibilities include:

• A candidate needs to interact with the global financial clients regularly and will be responsible for final delivery of work including:
• Effectively communicate project support expectations to team members/Clients in a timely and clear fashion.
• Communicate with relevant stakeholders on an ongoing basis
• Identify and manage jobs dependencies and critical path
• Monitor and provide production support and fix issues
• Build solution as needed to improve the recurring prod support incidents.
• Work collaboratively in a global setting, should be eager to learn new technologies.
• Create test cases/scenarios to provide complete requirement coverage for testing.
• Develop automated test scripts using Selenium, TestNG and Cucumber framework.
• Execute tests (manual / automated [Selenium, TestNG, Maven, Cucumber framework])
• Evaluate and ensure quality of deliverables within project timelines
• Independently troubleshoot difficult and complex issues on production and other environments
• Responsible for end-to-end delivery of projects, coordination between client and internal offshore teams and manage client queries
• Demonstrate high attention to detail, should work in a dynamic environment whilst maintaining high quality standards, a natural aptitude to develop good internal working relationships and a flexible work ethic
• Responsible for Quality Checks and adhering to the agreed Service Level Agreement (SLA) / Turn Around Time (TAT)
