This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing team within EY. Based in the GCO Enablement team in GDS India, the role involves working with General Counsel s Office (GCO) attorneys, auditors and outside counsel with case management on the GCOs litigation and regulatory matters, including document preservation, collection, review, redaction and production. The role also includes preparation and dissemination of legal-related correspondence, and maintenance of legal files and databases. It further includes analyses of risk relating to restrictive covenants and non-compete clauses in employment agreements.
Your key responsibilities
- Drafting communications/objections for review by the GCO for the purpose of preservation and collection of evidence in response to document requests, government regulatory inquiries and subpoenas.
- Communicates directly with individual departments to identify and gather documents and data responsive to subpoenas and other formal requests. Responsible for compliance with document preservation requirements.
- Manages document productions (for subpoenas and litigation) by coordinating the gathering of responsive electronic documents from practice offices via gathering memos, organizing responsive documents, arranging for imaging/copying and document production with vendors.
- Reviews and redacts documents to protect confidential client and personal identifying information.
- Facilitates the production and review of electronic workpaper applications in response to document production requests.
- Maintains detailed indexes and diaries of productions for litigation, investigatory and subpoena matters.
- Digests, analyzes, abstracts and indexes transcripts.
- Collects and/or identifies deposition and trial testimony for input into legal databases.
- Drafting internal memorandums for review by the GCO to assess the risks associated with hiring senior-level candidates by analysing non-compete clauses and other similar restrictions outlined in their employment agreements.
- Work with the GCO to support the Talent team in issuance of cease-and-desist letters, collection letters for debt recovery etc
- Ensures that all documents prepared are compliant with EY policies.
- Maintaining an understanding of the impact of changes in EY policies, organizational structure, and procedures.
- Reviews and summarizes, abstracts and transcript data and creates indexes so material is easily referenced by GCO attorneys and auditors.
- Communicates effectively with stakeholders and other teams/departments.
- Guiding and handholding the junior team members in their day-to-day transactions

Experience and qualifications
- Law Graduate, with 4-6 years of experience in document production, document review and redaction, and electronic discovery;
- Proficient in the concepts of non-compete agreements, restrictive covenants, and other related post-employment restrictions;
- Familiarity with fundamentals of the United States (US) legal system; and
- Experience of senior management and stakeholder management.
