As Senior Associate - Legal, you will be the one among other professionals working in domains such as advisory, contracting, new expansions, launches. This team consists of Company Secretary & Legal Experts who have previously worked for well-known companies.

About the role

As a Senior Associate - Legal, you will take ownership of providing advice, counsel, and support on legal issues related to a wide range of transactions. On a typical day, you will be involved in resolving legal queries and closely working with the business team on understanding constructs of legal transactions, drafting agreements or reviewing vendor templates and entering into negotiations to close the drafts.

You will be expected to run the contracting process end-to-end.You will work closely with the business team to evaluate new initiatives and launches from a legal standpoint. You will study laws applicable to us and ensure we comply with them. Besides, you will also draft and oversee the implementation of internal policies and procedures.

What you will do

    • Draft, review, and negotiatea wide range of commercial contracts, including vendor, distribution, service, licensing, and SaaS/technology agreements.
    • Conduct legal researchon corporate, commercial, and regulatory issues, providing well-reasoned and practical advice to business teams.
    • Assist in corporate governance and complianceunder applicable laws such as the Companies Act, FEMA, and SEBI regulations.
    • Support due diligence and documentationin corporate transactions such as investments, mergers, and restructurings.
    • Collaborate with internal teams(procurement, finance, tech, business) to align contract and compliance processes with organizational objectives.
    • Track regulatory updatesand summarize implications for internal stakeholders.
    • Assist in developing and refining templates, playbooks, and internal policiesto improve efficiency and consistency in contract management.

What you will need

    • Strong foundation incorporate and commercial law, with hands-on experience in commercial contracting and compliance.
    • Excellentdrafting and legal research skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Ability to interpret and communicate legal concepts in a clear, business-friendly manner.
    • High level of ownership, responsiveness, and ability to manage multiple assignments.
    • Collaborative approach with good stakeholder management and communication skills.
    • Strong analytical thinking and a solution-oriented mindset.
