What you will do
In this vital role the Senior Associate, Incentive Compensation Inquiry & Data Operations will focus on managing inquiries, solving complex data challenges, maintaining data stewardship standards, and delivering ad-hoc analytics to support field and leadership decisions.
Responsibilities
Inquiry Management:
- Act as the primary point of contact for inquiries related to incentive metrics, payouts, and plan interpretation.
- Investigate and resolve inquiries promptly with clear, data-backed communication.
- Track and analyze inquiry trends to identify process or data improvement opportunities.
- Demonstrated ability to manage inquiries with professionalism, empathy, and data-driven precision to ensure a positive stakeholder experience.
Data Challenges and Resolution:
- Identify, research, and resolve data discrepancies impacting IC calculations or field reporting.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to correct root causes and implement preventive solutions.
- Maintain documentation of issue resolution and lessons learned for continuous improvement.
Data Stewardship:
- Collaborate with internal teams to evaluate impact(s) of data changes.
- Design and document impact analyses and work with other teams to execute.
- Define in coordination necessary data remediations, next steps, and appropriate communications with stakeholders.
- Influence, design, and document data governance policies, standards, and procedures for IC data.
- Continually improve and define data quality measures for IC use with internal data teams to understand and evaluate the impact of data change and customer master changes.
- Validate data source requirements, highlight applicable risks and mitigations, and define review schedules.
- Understand and interpret data ingestion quality checks which have IC impact.
Ad-hoc Analytics:
- Conduct analytical deep dives and ad-hoc reporting on performance, attainment, and payout trends.
- Create and automate dashboards or reports to provide actionable insights for business leaders.
- Translate complex data into clear narratives that support decision-making.
This foundational IC knowledge enables the role to support end-to-end operations with accuracy, consistency, and strategic insight:
- Possesses a comprehensive understanding of end-to-end Incentive Compensation operations, including plan design, goal setting, contest administration, payout calculation, and performance analytics.

Basic Qualifications
- Masters degree & 1+ years of experience in Incentive Compensation.
- Bachelors degree & 3+ years of experience in Incentive Compensation.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Incentive Compensation, Commercial Operations, or Sales Analytics, ideally within the biopharmaceutical or life sciences industry.
- Proven expertise in incentive compensation processes, including plan administration, data validation, payout calculation, and inquiry management.
- Expertise in various data sources - XPO, XPO PD, 867, 844, SP contract data, XPO supplemental, Hub Data, etc.
- Proficiency with IC systems and tools, along with strong working knowledge of Excel and SQL.
- Experience with data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik) to provide clear and actionable insights.
- Strong understanding of data stewardship principles, including data accuracy, governance, and compliance (SOX or equivalent).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of investigating data discrepancies and identifying root causes.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with global teams.
- Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex IC concepts to non-technical audiences.
- High attention to detail, accountability, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, with the ability to partner across functions.
