About the Role

We’re looking for a dynamic and well-connected Media Relations Assistant Manager to join our Mumbai team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about storytelling, possess strong relationships across print, digital, and broadcast media, and have a deep understanding of the ever-evolving media landscape. You will play a key role in strategizing and driving impactful media visibility for our clients across diverse sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute media strategies and plans to enhance client visibility and reputation.

• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, and influencers across business and digital platforms.

• Identify and pitch newsworthy story ideas, press releases, and feature opportunities.

• Ensure timely and quality-driven media coverage aligned with client objectives.

• Manage press conferences, media interactions, and interviews for clients.

• Monitor industry trends, track media coverage, and prepare comprehensive media reports and analysis.

• Collaborate closely with the account management and content teams to ensure consistent messaging and positioning.

• Provide strategic counsel to clients on media approach, reputation management, and crisis communication.

Desired Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mass Communication, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in PR agencies or corporate communications.

• Proven track record of successful media placements across top-tier publications and portals.

• Excellent communication, writing, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong media network in Mumbai and national media circuits.

• Strategic mindset with an eye for storytelling and brand positioning.
