Job Description

As a Senior Assistant Chef specializing in Turkish cuisine, your role involves supporting the Head Chef in preparing and cooking a variety of traditional Turkish dishes. Your passion for authentic Turkish food and strong knowledge of Turkish culinary techniques are essential in ensuring the quality, flavor, and presentation of the dishes meet the restaurant's standards. Your ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment and mentor junior kitchen staff will contribute to the smooth operation of the kitchen. Key Responsibilities: - Assist the Head Chef in preparing and cooking various Turkish dishes such as kebabs, mezes, pilafs, stews, and baklava following authentic recipes and techniques. - Supervise and mentor junior kitchen staff to ensure adherence to proper food preparation and hygiene standards. - Manage cooking stations during peak service times for smooth kitchen operations. - Ensure all ingredients are fresh and food is prepared and stored according to safety and sanitation standards. - Assist in menu planning and contribute ideas for new dishes based on Turkish culinary traditions. - Maintain inventory levels, assist in ordering supplies, and ensure high standards of food plating. - Monitor food preparation and cooking times for prompt and consistent service. - Manage kitchen cleanliness by cleaning equipment, utensils, and cooking areas, while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Qualifications: - Proven experience as a Senior Assistant Chef with a focus on Turkish cuisine. - Strong knowledge of traditional Turkish cooking techniques, ingredients, and flavor profiles. - Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment. - Excellent organizational and time management skills. - Strong leadership abilities with experience in supervising and training kitchen staff. - Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices. - Creative and passionate about Turkish cuisine and culinary trends. - Culinary degree or certification from a recognized institution is a plus. The job type is full-time and permanent with benefits including health insurance and provident fund. The work schedule is a fixed shift, and a diploma is required for education. A minimum of 5 years of experience in Turkish cuisine is required for this role. The work location is in person.,
