Job Overview:

The Senior Area Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales performance, managing a high-performing sales team, expanding distribution channels, and providing market insights. This role plays a crucial part in achieving regional sales targets and contributing to the company’s overall growth strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sales Management

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to meet or exceed regional sales targets.
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and channel partners.

2. Team Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve high performance.
  • Provide regular coaching and support to improve team effectiveness.
  • Set clear performance goals and monitor KPIs for each team member.

3. Distribution Management

  • Manage and optimize the regional distribution network for maximum reach and efficiency.
  • Coordinate with logistics and supply chain teams to ensure product availability.
  • Evaluate and develop effective distribution channels aligned with business goals.

4. Reporting & MIS

  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts and performance reports.
  • Analyze sales data to highlight trends, risks, and improvement areas.
  • Present regular updates and insights to senior leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • 8–12 years of experience in regional sales and distributor management, preferably in building materials (Preferred Plumbing material), PVC/Plastic Pipes & Fittings, Adhesives, paints, and Tiles.
  • Proven leadership and team management (Minimum 5 Members) capabilities.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
