The Corporate Enablers technology function provides IT services to multiple business functions like Finance, HR and General Counsel, globally. FIL General Counsel Technology is responsible for providing IT solutions to the Risk, Compliance, Legal, Audit, Tax and Shareholder Service functions. These are global functions comprised of approximately 400 employees based in 26 countries. General Counsel Technology partners with its business stakeholders to identify their requirements and develop/implement technology solutions. This includes on-premises, SaaS and Cloud native solutions, both in-house built and vendor provided. There is a strong focus on data analytics, workflow and automation tools to bring greater efficiencies to these functions. Together with this there is continued move towards greater use of Agile and DevOps practices.

This role is for a skilled Python engineer with strong AI/ML expertise who can comprehend complex functional and technical issues and design solutions that align with business needs. You will work on cloud-native AI-driven integration systems , leveraging Kubernetes, AWS, and advanced automation with a top-performing team to deliver enterprise-grade solutions.
About you
Essential Skills
- 5-8 years of overall full stack Python hands on experience of system software development, testing and maintenance
- Knowledge of latest Python frameworks and technologies (e.g., Django, Flask, FastAPI)
- Experience with Python libraries and tools (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, SQLAlchemy)
- Familiarity with REST API security, authentication, and authorization mechanisms (e.g., OAuth, JWT)
- Good experience and hands-on knowledge of PL/SQL (Packages/Functions/Ref cursors)
- Experience in model training, evaluation, and deployment in production environments.
- Hands on knowledge of ETL pipeline development and automating ML workflows.
- Hands on development experience of AWS (S3, lambda, api gateway, EC2, CloudFront, Route53, Dynamo DB, vpc, subnets)
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration
- Knowledge of deploying, managing, and scaling applications on Kubernetes clusters
- Should have clear understating on continuous integration, build, release, code quality
- Hands on with coding and debugging. Should be able to write high quality code optimized for performance and scale
Skills nice to have:
- Hands on experience with SnapLogic cloud-native integration platform. Ability to design and implement integration pipelines using low code iPaaS tools
- Hands-on experience with TensorFlow , PyTorch
- Familiarity with NLP techniques and libraries ( Hugging Face Transformers)
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Experience in CI/CD, TDD, DevOps, CI/CD tools - Jenkins/UrbanCode/SonarQube/ Bamboo
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Python-based applications for cloud and AI-driven integration platforms.
- Build and deploy machine learning models and integrate them into production systems
- Develop ETL pipelines for AI data processing and automation workflows
- Implement MLOps practices for continuous integration and deployment of ML models
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions.
- Ensure adherence to best practices in cloud architecture , container orchestration , and AI model lifecycle management .
- Communicate with business analysts to discuss various business requirements
Experience and Qualification:
- B.E./ B.Tech. or M.C.A. in Computer Science from a reputed University
- Total 5-8 years of experience with application development on Python language, API development along with SQL, PL/SQL
