Job Summary

We are an accountancy and bookkeeping firm seeking a highly experienced accounting professional — ideally someone nearing retirement — who has spent their career in accountancy and financial management. This role is designed for a senior professional who wishes to share their knowledge, guide younger team members, and provide advisory support.

This is a flexible position, with workload and timings adaptable to the candidate’s availability.

Key Responsibilities

• Mentor and train junior accountants and bookkeepers
• Share practical knowledge of accounting standards, compliance, and best practices
• Review work prepared by trainees and provide constructive feedback
• Advise on complex client accounting matters when required
• Support in developing internal training materials and guidelines
• Assist in improving efficiency and accuracy across the accounting team

Requirements

• 20+ years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or financial management
• Strong practical knowledge of accounting principles and compliance
• Experience in client account handling and reporting
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Patience and ability to train and guide less experienced staff
